The original is really dope but a bit too late 90s hard-house for me with the aggressive four-on-the-floor kicks, so I added some bmore elements to make it more useful for the types of parties I rock at. Hope y’all dig it.
Hard to believe I made this jawn over 4 years ago. As Sir Nenis from Top Billin said when I re-posted this on soundcloud “This is probably the best thing you’ve ever produced!” As depressing as that may be (WTF I DONT WANT THE BEST THING I EVER PRODUCED TO BE 4 YEARS OLD!), it’s also probably true because this song rules. Anyway, I re-upped it yesterday because the piano sample is from the Halloween soundtrack but I’ve got to admit, the song isn’t very Halloweeny. The chords, triumphant Jeezy “Ayyyys” and R Kelly vocal snips give it a much different feel than the classic Halloween theme song, but I’m still real proud of this record and hope y’all enjoy it.
If you’re in Philly this Friday, don’t forget to stop by THE BOUNCE for our yearly Halloween jam. As always, we got that open bar 9 to 11 and it’s gonna be crackalackin’!
Been rocking this in the club and it’s working quite well. This is more of a Bmore “edit” than a “Remix.” Just added Bmore drums and elements to pick up the energy and make it up-tempo. I didn’t bother going crazy chopping it up into a whole new song or anything. I wanted to keep it sing-alongable but add that additional energy that the Bmore rhythms always provide. Hope y’all enjoy it.
For quite some time I’ve been meaning to put together a primarily Hip-Hop Club mix that represents the kind of stuff I wind up playing in the club on any given Friday or Saturday night. In many respects, playing Hip-Hop in the club can turn into club karoake, where people just want to sing along to songs they know the words to. I’m not mad at this at all because, on the rare occassion that I go out and get it in, this is basically my favorite thing to do too. But, from a DJs perspective, playing the same 25-40 records in primetime gets kind’ve old, so I tend to try and spice it up with some unexpected blends or random songs that people don’t necessarily know all the words to, but the shit still goes off. so when my homies in Burlington, Vermont asked me to do a mix for their upcoming party NIGHT VISION that I’m playing this Friday, that’s kind’ve what I wanted to make the mix represent: some predictable stuff, followed by some unpredictable blends, mashes, and remixes. All in all, just something that’s fun to listen to. So yeah, this is the type of stuff I expect to be playing this Friday in Burlington, Vermont at the NIGHT VISION party at Red Square. Come check us out! In the mean time, check this mix. I hope y’all like it.

Look out for Emynd and Peedi collabos coming real soon. In the mean time, check out this mixtape. Great rapping and solid beat selection from one of my favorites in the game. They even included my Club remix of Ni**as In North.
My dudes Peedi and Chris killing the “Niggas In Paris” beat something serious. I re-produced it inna Bmore/Philly Club fashion. It goes HARD in the club. Believe that.

I’m heavy back on my Bmore grind! This time I gave Enya’s classic “Orinoco Flow” the treatment. I know this song is pretty cheesy, but there’s something strangely affecting about it. I find it to be way more emotional then I should probably admit. Hope y’all enjoy it either way.
Sorry we’re late, but July 4th long weekend got us all confused and backed up. Do not fret however… we’re back for the always-worth-waiting-for 1st & 15th Mixcast Series! This time around, Emynd whipped up a mix of some of his favorite Baltimore Club remixes of Soul joints and classic cuts for an hours worth of tasteful, fun re-interpretations of classic songs we all know and love. Great for a late night post-party dance session at the crib, at one of your BBQs, or summer road trips. As always, don’t forget you can stream the rest of the 1st & 15th mixes here (or download them all individually here). Thanks for listening!
