Once again it’s on! Although it hasn’t gotten very cold in Philly yet, it still feels like winter around here… vibe-wise if not weather-wise. And, in these barren winter months, I tend to comfort myself with the soothing sound of melodies. I’ve been meaning to do a mix of some of my favorite melodic, affecting House songs for quite a while now so I took this 1st & 15th opportunity to put a few down for your (and my!) listening pleasure. Big soaring melodies with lots of in-key mixing going on in this mix. Pretty simple stuff, but I really enjoy all these songs and hope y’all enjoy them as well.

I was listening to the new Weeknd album today and thought this jam would make for a great grooving House jam. It may be a little bit too soft-batch for frequent club use, but I think it’s pretty damn ill. I kept it mad simple and just added some supporting synth stabs and basic drums and builds.
