Emynd & Bo Bliz “CROSSFADED BACON EP” FHZ013

I’m posting the “one sheet” for this because I’m too lazy to write more BS. God I hate writing this stuff, but I guess it’s a necessary evil. Anyway, should be up on turntablelab and other fine stores soon. Should be going digital through Unruly in a couple weeks as well.

By the way, the covers look amazing. You can’t tell from this picture, but the cardboard sleeve is a beautiful cityscape photograph of Philly by the extremely talented Michael Penn and the cardboard sleeve will be covered with a plastic sleeve with all the graphics and text, including the drawings of Emynd and Bo Bliz by big homie Vlad from Toronto. Looks and sounds absolutely beautiful.

Big ups to Casi and Dan for putting it together, Derrick at Bustbright for the design, Starkey for the mixing/mastering, and me and Bo for killing it.

This Saturday, Emynd and Bo Bliz are back with their “IT’S THE YEAR…” party in conjunction with 215HIPHOP.COM for IT’S THE YEAR 1996! Obviously, we’ll be playing a ton of jams from 1996 and it’s going to be a hella fun trip through memory-lane. If you were at the 2000 jawn, you know how awesome this is going to be. All the big club joints from the year and some lesser known classics.

10PM to 2AM and only $5. Upstairs at Johnny Brenda’s which is a great venue with incredible sound and a really good selection of beer—from cheap PBR cans, to a wide selection of drafts.

Also, first 50 people through the door will get a free 1996 inspired T-Shirt we made specially for this occasion!

Feel free to dress the part as well and rock some gear you were rocking in High School! I’m rocking Hilfiger, some timbs, and fatigues…

Let’s goooooo!!!

Best Hair and V-Neck/Undershirt in the GAME!

Emynd is a sex symbol, baby.

Prinse the Fly Guy “Go DJ”

Prinse the Fly Guy is a rapper Unruly Records recently signed and this Bmore/Rap joint is definitely gonna wile the club out. A “Push It” synth melody runs through it as Prinse gets his autotune on, shouting out K-Swift, and riding the beat. Dope, useful track.

Young Jeezy “Circulate”

Holy moly this is incredible. Cannon’s on the beat rocking that Billy Paul and Jeezy is killing it. I can’t remember the last time (ever?) I said “This beat is dope, but Jeezy doesn’t really come with it.” If the beat is hitting, Jeezy GOES IN. And even though dude sounds so great on Shawty Redd’s dirty synths, he’s also fully capable of doing his thing on that soulful, soul-sampling ish. But dude is just riding this beat so hard. He sounds perfect on it. So psyched for this album.

Blaqstarr “Bang Hard”

This Blaqstarr song “BANG HARD” is incredible. It’s not at all what I expected out of him, but he really rides this beat well and makes a heartfelt rap song that still knocks. Super impressed with dude’s versatility right about now.
